It all started in the year 2008
The Founder, Sarvamangala’s inherent interest in textiles was stoked when Uzramma showed her a direction. Her curiosity and to uncover the magic of Handlooms lead her to meeting weavers and felt there could be a beginning. With a head rush and a confidence that something was right, Sarvamangala started Anagha with a loan of ₹ 5 lakh from her father. And, that's how it all unravelled in 2008. A time when the market was saturated with power looms and big textile bullies.
OUR FOUNDER, SARVAMANGALA CHAVALI
“We think we were doing something right, I just went with it and learnt on the job!”
“I think we are doing something right,” the founder says with a hint of pride and happiness. Our conscious effort to keep our products affordable is to make Handlooms accessible.
“I come from a very middle class family where we never had the kind of money to buy designer clothes. So it was a conscious effort to not make it so expensive that a majority can’t afford it,” says the founder.

MISSION HANDLOOM
What makes us different from others is that we only deal in Handloom fabric. Anagha is dubbed by many discerning customers as Handloom Haven. Our Handloom clothes are known for its heritage and the tradition of excellent craftsmanship.
Handlooms provide livelihood to millions of weavers and craftspersons. But, weavers are slowly going out of their tradition. Anagha extends the helping hand by contributing to restore the dying art of weaving and helps weaver community by only trading in Handloom clothes.
